HTC introduces the budget friendly Desire 826G+ and 626G+

HTC has just introduced two new budget dual-SIM smartphones bearing similar specifications, with the exception of their screen sizes, alongside a couple of features.

HTC Desire 826 Plus

Both devices will be featuring the same octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 CPU, which is paired to 1GB RAM. There is 8GB storage onboard and a 2,600mAh battery keeping everything up and running. The two will also also be running on HTC Sense UI 6.0 based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

From here on out, things start to get a little diffferent. The HTC Desire 826G+ will have a 5.5 inch 720p display as well as a 13-megapixel rear camera working in tandem with an 8-megapixel front facer. On the other hand, the Desire 626G+ features a slightly smaller 5-inch 720p HD display as well as a 13-megapixel rear camera working instead in tandem with an 5-megapixel front facer. Judging from the specifications alone, it is quite likely targeted at the selfie fanatics, with the Desire 626G+ being the slightly more affordable device.

As far pricing go, the Desire 626G+  will go for TWD 4,990 (RM 585.78), while the Desire 826G+ will go for TWD 5,990 (RM 716.08). The two new smartphones go on sale in Taiwan for now, with no word of availability overseas just yet.
