A filing made by Samsung with Brazil’s telecommunications regulator ANATEL has possibly revealed the battery capacity of the Galaxy S9.

Galaxy S9 Battery Capacity

The listing of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ on the FCC hints at their impending launch, while the ANATEL listing contains a very interesting titbit of information.

Should the filing prove to be legitimate, the Galaxy S9 will have a battery capacity of 3,000mAh which is what the Galaxy S8 had. There was a rumour suggesting at one point that the Galaxy S9 would have a 3,200mAh battery, although that possibility was not brought up since. Then there is also the likelihood that Samsung may just stick to the script for the Galaxy S9+ and give it same 3,500mAh battery found on the Galaxy S8+. Given how similar the S9 will be to its predecessor, this should not come as a surprise.

In any case, Samsung is going to showcase the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona in February 2018.
