After teasing it earlier last month, Acer has made it official with regards to the release of their latest generation of Liquid Leap wearables. These products are meant to show the company’s approach in the growing wearables industry, emphasizing style, activity tracking and battery conservation. These Liquid Leap wearables come in three different models to cater to different target audiences; Liquid Fit for the young market with a stylish look, Liquid Active for more serious fitness buffs having active tracking and music controls, and last but not least, the premium Liquid Curve, sporting leather bands, curved 1-inch display, battery and even circuit board.

The Leap models all have a 1-inch touch display, with the Liquid Curve with a curved screen. To keep to battery conservation, displays are monochrome. All models have a heart rate sensor and gold-plated galvanic skin sensors, with both working together to produce a “stress index”. Apart from the black and white displays, the skin sensor only measures stress levels 150 times a day rather than constantly to help save battery life. All previous and current Liquid Leap models will be compatible with Android, iOS and soon Windows 10. Acer has decided to stay quiet on pricing and availability for the time being, although the company did promise to reveal more of those details at Computex 2015 next week.
