1 December 2017 to see the launch of the Samsung W2018 Flip Phone

For flip phone lovers, the Samsung W2018 has gotten a launch date, as revealed on Twitter by user @MMDDJ_, who is known for Samsung related tweets. He says the device will launch in Xiamen, China on December 1, attaching an official poster that includes the W-series of the past 10 years and celebrity guests invited to the launch, which is also a charity event.

Samsung has always used the W-series launch as a platform to raise funds for charity. A follow up post by @MMDDJ_ shows a mash up photo that includes the various charity acts and photos from past years.

The Samsung W2018 will be the most powerful flip phone made. Dual 4.2” FHD displays, Qualcomm’s 835 mobile platform, 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage in one device. While it won’t have dual rear cameras, rumours say it will be the first smartphone with a f/1.5 aperture camera; 12MP for the back and 5MP for the front.

From leaked images, the fingerprint scanner is on the back of the phone like the other Samsung flagships of the year. @MMDDJ_ says it will also have an iris scanner. The Samsung W2018 will have Bixby and a dedicated button for it. The Chinese variant of the AI is expected to be launched by Samsung this month ahead of the W2018’s release.

The device’s battery is 2300mAh and has Android Nougat. There’s no info on the price, but likely to be quite expensive. It will also be limited to China as the W-series is a collaboration between Samsung and China’s top network operators. | | student loan for a car | | student loan for a car | | student loan for a car
