Huawei Watch Enters The Malaysia Wearable Market, Starts At RM1,799

The phone itself is looking like a winner. Now the watch.

As if the Nexus 6P itself is not enough to notch up the excitement, Huawei has also bring in the Huawei Watch to our local market. If you still remember, the Huawei Watch has been touted as one of the best-looking smartwatches when it was unveiled back in March during the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015).

Nine months later, it still is.

A member of the exclusive round-face club, the Huawei Watch is an elegant and stylish smartwatch with its Swiss-like design that at first glance doesn’t look like a smartwatch. It has got a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal surrounded by cold-forged 316L stainless steel casing. To complete the classy look, it is paired with either fine leather or stainless steel straps.

Running on Android Wear, the Huawei Watch offers the best of Google’s wearable platform. It also means that it not only works with any other supported Android phones, it works with Apple’s iPhones too (through the Android Wear iOS app)

It retails at a starting price of RM1,799, which puts it in direct competition with the similarly rounded-face Samsung Gear S2 Classic (RM1,599) which itself was launched here a fortnight ago.

Like the Nexus 6P, the Huawei Watch will go live at on December 10 in three different strap designs – the black leather strap and stainless steel link bracelet at the aforementioned price as well as the uber-cool black version of stainless steel link bracelet at RM1,999.
