Huawei Super Charge technology emerges

Huawei has just unveiled its next-generation fast charging technology, known simply as Huawei Super Charge, ahead of everyone else in the pack.

According to reports, the company’s new power adapter bearing the model number HW-100400C00 has received a 3C certification. The adapter has output specification of 10V/4A, meaning that the maximum charging power of this new power adapter will be 40W, making it a lot faster than the 22W fast charing on the Huawei P20-series smartphones. In other words, the Huawei Super Charge 40W fast charging technology will charge the smartphone to 90% in just half an hour. For comparision, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 takes roughly the same time to get to 50%. Meanwhile, OnePlusā€˜ Dash Charging can get to 60% charge in 30 minutes.

For the time being, it is unknown as to which device will have the technology, although it is very likely that it will be implemented in the upcoming Mate 20 series of smartphones due for a launch in October 2018.
