Huawei nova 4 Launched In Malaysia – Punch Display, 8GB RAM & Triple AI Camera At RM1,899

Huawei has launched their first smartphone of the year in Malaysia and it is none other than the highly-anticipated nova 4. If you remember, this is phone that gave the whole world the first-ever glimpse of the “hole-punch” display, which is set to be the major smartphone trend in 2019.

The officially-named “Punch Fullview Display” houses its 25MP front facing camera and which enables Huawei to kill the notch, giving the nova 4 an even bigger screen-to-body ratio of 91.8%. It is also worth nothing that the front camera is currently the industry’s smallest camera – measuring at only 3.05mm – and is 20% smaller than the industry standard. Outside the fresh display, the nova 4 also attracts the eye with its Crush Blue gradient finish. It will also be available in Black for that timeless classy look.

Considering that this is a below-flagship level phone, the nova 4 won’t blow anyone’s mind away with its specs. However, it does pack quite a decent set of hardware that include Kirin 970 processor, a “new generation” GPU Turbo which should help in boosting gaming performance and generous 8GB RAM, 128GB storage as well as 3,750mAh battery.

Its rear cameras consist of a triple lens setup which is a first outside Huawei’s flagship P20 Pro and Mate 20 Series. The Triple AI Camera is made up of a 20MP primary camera, 2MP secondary camera and a 16MP camera augmented with ultra wide angle lens that supports a 117-degree field of view.

Here’s a complete look of the nova 4’s key specs

  • 6.4-inch Punch FullView display FHD+ display (2310 x 1080 pixels)
  • 8GB RAM
  • Octa-core Kirin 970 processor
