Huawei Mate 10 & Mate 10 Pro Users Will Get To Enjoy HD Calls Over WiFi Soon

How are you enjoying your Huawei Mate 10/Mate 10 Pro? If you think that’s all that the devices have to offer, you’ll be delighted to know that there is more to come. Starting from January 30, your Mate 10/Mate 10 Pro will be able to utilize VoWiFi (Voice Over WiFi), a technology that allows users to initiate mobile calls through Wi-Fi connection. This makes the phones the first in the world to support both VoWiFi and VoLTE (Voice over LTE).

Users can enjoy crystal clear HD voice calls not only between calls made within Malaysia, but also from overseas countries to Malaysia with no roaming fee, with seamless handover between VoWiFi and VoLTE. Those who live and work in areas with poor network reception will hugely benefit from this. Do note though that it is currently only supported by U Mobile and Digi.

When the feature is enabled, you will find a “Wifi” tag next to your operator label at the top left of the screen.

On top of that, Huawei also has some good news for all nova 2i users in which they can expect “world-class” and exciting features to be introduced in the next software update that will arrive on their devices on January 25.
