Honor will continue being part of Huawei

There are reports claiming that that Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei, will soon be separated from its its parent company to become independent. The Honor sub-brand was first launched by Huawei in 2013, a time where the likes of Xiaomi was just a few years old and rising fast therefore Huawei saw the need for Honor to give such firms a huge competition.

With Honor’s shipments of devices having surpassed Xiaomi, many are believing that if Honor goes independent, it will affect Huawei’s performance and its hopes of beating Samsung. When contacted however, Honor stated that it will continue to operate as an independent brand, but still be part of Huawei.
