This Is The honor 8 and It Is Simply Gorgeous

One of the most exciting smartphones to come out this year has finally arrived to Malaysian shores and its official launch earlier today was attended by scores of media, fans as well as partners eager to get a glimpse of honor’s latest crown jewel, the honor 8.


Coming almost a year after the honor 7, the honor 8 is honor’s most gorgeous and best-looking release to date. Gone is the metal element and in its place is a sexy and oh-so-shiny 2.5D glass back that reflects light in many an interesting ways that never fail to dazzle the eyes. honor claims that it is the most beautiful Android smartphone to have been released this year and few could have argue otherwise. There are four equally eye-catching color options – Midnight Black, Pearl White, Sunrise Gold and Sapphire Blue.





But the honor 8 is not just style without substance as it is packing some potent firepower in the shape of 4GB RAM and Kirin 950 processor. If the default 32GB or 64GB in-built storage space is not enough, you can add in more storage via its microSD slot. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow-running smartphone also features an much-improved ā€œ3Dā€ fingerprint reader that lets users do even more things including fast-launching your favorite apps. Mobile photographers will love the dual-lens camera set up for its ability to take monochrome black-and-white and artistic wide aperture shots among others. For selfies, its 8MP front-facing camera is more than capable to get the job nicely done. Rounding up the specs is a 3,000mAh battery which supports fast-charging that gives users almost 50% of charge from zero with 30 minutes of charging.


Now there are two pricing tier that you have to take note of. The honor 8 in Pearl White and Midnight Black (standard variants) come with 32GB capacity and they are priced at RM1,699. On the other hand, the Sunrise Gold and Sapphire Blue (premium variants) are equipped with 64GB of storage and they will cost slightly higher at RM1,899. There are several avenues for you to purchase it starting from September 8 onward. The online channels include and Lazada Malaysia while those who prefer getting them from brick-and-mortar stores can head over to DirectD (both Federal Highway and SS15 outlets) as well as Senheng Malaysia.


To sweeten the deal, honor Malaysia will be giving the first 100 buyers some premium gifts when they purchase their honor 8 from Vmall, Lazada Malaysia and DirectD. Those buying the standard variants will get an honor powerbank (RM118), honor selfie stick (RM78) and honor 8 protective cover (RM99) each. Meanwhile, early birds for premium variants will be bringing home an honor Band SS (RM399) and honor 8 protective cover (RM99) each.

honor Malaysia has also announced the launch of the honor 5A, their newest affordable mid-range smartphone with features such as a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display, 2GB RAM, octa-core Kirin 620 processor, 16GB built-in memory (expandable up to 128GB via microSD), Android 5.1 Lollipop,13MP main camera, 8MP front-facing camera and a 3,100mAh battery. Retailing at RM599 (Black and White) and RM629 (Gold), the honor 5A will be available beginning September 20.
