Graphene to be used by Samsung in smarpthone batteries

According to Twitter leakster Evan Bless, Samsung has begun using graphene balls for the development of its battery in order to improve its lifespan and charge speeds. Devices employing this technology could appear as early as 2020.

The new battery is purportedly capable of being fully-charged in under half an hour and will see its capacities increased by 45%. The hurdle that Samsung is likely to face is the lowering the costs to implement the technology. Worth mentioning is that the patent was filed in 2017, so the company would have been engaging in development for well over three years on the project.

Either way, being a rumour and all that, it is best to take this piece of news with a grain of salt until Samsung officially confirms it.
