Gameview Money Launches GV Esports, To Invest RM10 Million In Malaysia’s Esports Development

The esports scene in Malaysia has never been as vibrant and thriving as it is now. It recently got a major shot in the arm when our current Youth and Sports Minister, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman announced an allocation of RM10 million from the government into our local esports development, further highlighting its growing prominence.

As the industry continues to grow in an explosive rate, more and more players as well as stakeholders are coming into the fold to play a part or to further contribute to matters. One such party is Gameview Money (GVM), which is one leading Blockchain Gaming Platform in the game industry and the fastest growing platform for gaming in South East Asia. For a start, GVM will be matching the government’s investment and has announced that they too will invest a sum of RM10 million in our local esports from now to 2019, in view of even more possible investment in the future.

Not only that, GVM’s is also involved in being one of the sponsors for the upcoming The Kuala Lumpur Major Dota 2 tournament, which is happening over this weekend from November 16 to 18. With Frank Andreas Sliwka, the Chief Operating Officer and Board of Director of ESL on board as the advisor, GVM hopes to be a major player in the local esports scene for years to come by sponsoring more Dota2 Majors by working with the likes of eGG Network and international tournament organiser PGL.

Eventually, GVM hopes to be one the competing forces as they also announced the launch of their very own GV Esports. They will venture into tournaments and leagues both locally and globally, esports production capabilities and professional esports team ownership. Expect to hear a lot more about GVM from here on out.
