Windows Mobile 6.5 now avaliable
Microsoft announced the Windows Mobile 6.5 for Windows Mobile phone today. The revamped OS will be upgradable to those with WinMo 6.0 upwards.
The facelift saw atheistic change with the honeycomb design, the main menu icons now teeming with hexagonal icons. Microsoft also claimed that there would be a marked improvement in Internet Explorer. According to a spokesperson, browsing on 6.5 will be 20% faster.
The Marketplace app store will also come with Windows 6.5, and will only allow users to download free apps in Malaysia. According to Microsoft, there are now 246 apps (paid and free) online as of today.
The MyPhone service will also come with manage and back up the data stored on their phone. The free service will allow use to map the last known location of their phone.
WinMo 6.5 is projected to come with more than 30 phones by the end of 2009.
