Sony Ericsson Malaysia offers rebates on new phones
18 October 2009 – Sony Ericsson is offering 50 people rebates of up to RM1,000 each on the long awaited Satio, Aino and Yari to celebrate the company’s Spread the Entertainment launch event at KL Live, Life Centre, Kuala Lumpur next Thursday, 22 October 2009.
“The new mobile phones blend the best in imaging, music, videos and gaming to bring Entertainment Unlimited to consumers. The fusion of Sony Ericsson’s communication technology with entertainment will deliver the ultimate user experience for discerning consumers. With the launch of the Satio, Aino and Yari, we hope to provide Malaysians with devices that not only bring together rich content and the best in class integrated entertainment experience but to also allow consumers to share their experiences through entertainment,” said Alex Wong, General Manger, Sony Ericsson Malaysia.
The first 50 people to queue up at the Sony Ericsson Spread the Entertainment launch event at KL Live, Life Centre, Kuala Lumpur on 22 October 2009 will be entitled to rebates on their choice of the Satio, Aino or Yari, while stocks last. Rebates will be given on a tiered basis as follows:
- RM1,000 rebate for the first to fifth customer
- RM800 rebate for the sixth to 15th customer
- RM600 rebate for the 16th to 30th customer
- RM400 rebate for the 31st to 50th customer
Redemption letters will be given out to the 50 eligible customers from 6.30pm onwards and the rebates can be redeemed between 9 November and 31 December 2009. Each of the first 50 customers are also welcome to bring along one extra person to enjoy the exclusive closed-door session of the launch event with VIPs and local celebrities from 6.30pm to 9:00pm, during which Sony Ericsson and AXN will also be making a surprise announcement.
Doors open to the public from 9:00 pm onwards, during which there will be a fashion catwalk showcasing the Satio, Aino and Yari, a special performance by DJ Gabriel in collaboration with Camelia, followed by more spinning by DJ Gabriel. Those who make it there will also be able to check out these three cool new phones from Sony Ericsson.

Satio, Aino and Yari will be available in Malaysia starting Q4 2009 at the recommended retail price range of RM1,100 to RM2,500.
