Telenor Grop and Carousell has entered an agreement that will see Carousell being merged with 701Search, a subsidiary of Telenor Group. If that name sounds unfamiliar, you may know Mudah.my, one of its three units, the others being Cho Tot in Vietnam and OneKyat in Myanmar.

The deal will see Carousell absorb all three entities. For us consumers, nothing will change for the time being, as Mudah.my will remain as it is. As the deal did not require any regulatory approval, the merge has taken place with immediate effect.
