A Tablet Suited for your Traveling Needs

Samsung being one of the few (or 2 to be precise) players still recognize a group of users which require a device which is not as big as a notebook or not as small as a phone, preferably a 7in for their daily activities and usage. Tablets are great companions for people on the go especially with the built in long battery life and lighter to carry about compared to heavier notebooks, packaged with the charging bricks. Forget to bring along those power bricks on your business trip will require you to source one, hopefully not in a foreign land..

Samsung has come a long way in the tablet scene. I still remember way in 2011, I got myself the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. At that time, the Tab 7.0 was a device with no purpose. This was due to the limited Android Apps then. Developers are also wondering whether it was worth while developing apps for the 7in devices. It started slow but then things changed when people start to appreciate them until now.

Today we have the top of the line Tab S6, a predecessor of the S4 and recently lower priced S5e. Here comes the next powerhouse.

The Screen

As usual, it comes with Samsung’s signature Super AMOLED display, 10.5” in size and a resolution of 2,560 x 1600 (WQXGA) 287ppi producing great contrast and vibrant colours for long hours of movie watching, gaming and reading.

The most beautiful display I have seen so far..

The Built

Comes in three vibrant colours: Cloud Blue, Rose Blush, Mountain Gray with the pen colour to match. At just 5.7mm thickness and weights 420g all packed in this power house brings you absolute mobility.

Like the predecessor, the S4,  the S6 is built with full metal back which is lighter if compared.

The placement of the Stylus does look it will fall with a gust of wind or a tiny knock without intention. Worry not, you can always get the optional casing to hold it in place.

The Sound

To complement the nearly bezel-less display, it comes surrounded with 4 speakers tuned by AKG/HARMAN with Dolby Atmos sound to bring your favourite movies alive.

Here is the sample sound experience.

The Pen

I like the S Pen which comes with the S6 as a standard feature rather than an optional accessory do spike up the usability of the tablet. The S Pen allows you to be creative with your hand be it writing your top selling novel or sketching your designer wardrobe for the Grammy red carpet outfit.

With the Bluetooth connectivity, similar to the Note 10, gesture controls will enable you to control your presentations with your hand gestures or for playing back a video without touching your tablet.

In conclusion, having a personal interest for Samsung tablets, I would say the S6 does provide me with all a tablet features I require. Samsung has my vote on their S6 for sure. Nothing else comes close…
