Match Highlights

The match begins with a ghost on ghost fight between Gengar and Froslass. In what looks like a loss for Simple after Gengar goes into Mega Evolve bringing down its opponent down to critical HP, the two trainers swap Pokemons in and out in, psyching each other. First blood does however go to Simple, who takes out Soul-X’s Ferrothorn with a Flare Blitz. Easy. Capitalising on that momentum, Simple takes the first round without must hassle.

Game two starts off with Simple tossing out a Frosslass, only to be met with a Mamoswine. Sensing danger, Simple swaps out a Talonflame, scoring double kills on Mamoswine and Ferrothorn. Soul-X’s Blissey takes one back, but is made quick work off by Simple’s Medicham. From there it’s an onslaught, with Medicham taking down a Dragonite. With no way of recovering from his deficit, Soul-X is finally brought down Jolteon in an electrifying finish to the third placement playoffs.

Congratulations to Simple for getting third place.
