Being the world’s first ever 4GB RAM phone, the Zenfone 2 will inevitably get scrutinized in this department. The fact that it deviates from convention by using Intel Atom processor instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon also raises some eyebrows. The question here is, does it live up to all its hype? Let’s start things off putting it in through its pace with two of the most popular benchmark apps – Antutu and Geekbench 3.

Numbers are one thing but actually using it in our day-to-day lives is another. Sure, it runs smooth all around but how does it handle multiple resource-hungry apps running in the background? We tried running high-performance games like Modern Combat 5: Blackout and Asphalt 8 Airborne and as expected, they run just fine. We also tried switching between the games back and forth through the multitasking menu and the 4GB RAM must have help as the switch is pretty seamless.

Speaking of multitasking, the experience is smooth as apps are able to be up and running almost immediately after being launched in the menu, even if there are tons of apps sitting in the background.
