The T290 has speaker phone functionality, and it supports Multimedia messaging (MMS). It also has e-mail support and its text messaging comes with predictive input to make writing easy. The T290i supports 32-chord polyphonic ringtones, and an event calendar with programmable reminders. The T290 is designed to appeal to the young, and it comes with a 4K colour screen, although this time around the screen is 101 x 80, which is slightly smaller than the 128 x 128 of the J200.
