The Q300 is a dual band GSM with dimensions of 85 x 48 x 23 mm and a weight of 89 grams. It hasan external antenna and a wide internal display, with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. Most of the new characteristics are connected with messaging, now EMS, and polyphonic ring tones This model includes 16 ring tones, even though Samsung has arrived at 40 ring tones with the SCH-X290. The SGH-Q300 is a class 8 GPRS cellular phone with 4 slots in downlink and 1 in uplink. For Internet navigation Samsung outfitted it with a WAP microbrowser in version 1.2.GPRS Class 8

As usual in this type of device, the menus are accessed with a joystick type button. Connection to a PC is possible with the IrDA port or with a cable. The phone book is not very large and memorises only 99 contacts. There are also the classical PIM functions of agenda, events, calculator and calendar.
