This is the second variant of this phone to come to AT&T but this time around it features improvements (Model SGH-I727). 4.5-inch 800x480 Super AMOLED Plus display with about 207 ppi pixel density, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, Adreno 220 GPU, 8-megapixel camera, 1080p video capture, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB built-in storage, HSDPA 21.1 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, 4G LTE support, Android 2.3.5, Gorilla Glass display, Samsung TouchWiz 4.0 user interface, Multi-touch input method, Proximity Sensor for auto turn-off, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, touch-sensitive controls, Ambient light sensor, 3-Axis Gyroscope Sensor, SWYPE Integration, SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM, RSS, HTML, xHTML, Flash, WAP 2.0, A-GPS support, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration, Adobe Flash 10.1 support, HDMI out, Digital compass, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, MP4/DivX/XviD/WMV/H.264/H.263 player, and MP3/WAV/eAAC+/AC3/FLAC player. It is expected that Skyrocket can be upgraded to the latest version of Google Inc.'s smartphone operating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, in early 2012. Ice Cream Sandwich is a combination of Gingerbread and Honeycomb in one unit. AT&T released the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket on November 6, 2011.
