Introduction / Preview : Panasonic VS3
VS3 mobile phone - the most customisable phone on the market yet. This ultra-thin, 1.3 megapixel camera phone comes complete with a QVGA screen with approximately 16 million colours and outstanding brightness of 300 candela. Personalisation is key to this phone with a package of X-Changeable Covers and wallpapers and ring tones all sharing the same theme. The VS3 is due to be launched in Europe in Q3 of this year.
Making it unique
The VS3 is a phone that users can truly personalise to make it their own. Panasonic will launch its ,Total Personalisation, package of X-Changeable Covers with matching content in Europe with this phone. Already a resounding success in Japan, this enables a complete phone makeover, as users can change the look of their phone from both from inside and out.
Messaging illumination
The VS3 also comes with messaging illumination, another fun way to receive messages. With this feature, the phone reads SMS messages as they are received and triggers the phone to flash in different colours and patterns according to the corresponding ,emoticons, in the message. ,Emoticons, are symbols such as happy or angry faces widely used in SMS, particularly by younger users. If the SMS message contains a smiley face the phone might flash red for example. Users can therefore judge the ,emotion, of the received message before even opening it.
Picture perfect
As you would expect from Panasonic, its 1.3 megapixel camera provides high definition, sharp, true-to-life images. This is combined with the facility to take 15-frame continuous shots as well as zooming and picture editing capabilities. In addition to the impressive camera function, the VS3 has video capability, allowing users to capture and playback video footage with sound. The VS3 also incorporates a 2.2-inch high resolution LCD screen that has been enhanced to display approximately 16 million colours and for outstanding brightness 300 candela.
Technical elegance
As well as being packed with advanced features, the VS3 weighs less than 100g and is just 18mm thin. The ,one push auto open, function provides quick and easy access to all of the VS3,s functions. Users can enjoy MP3 ringtones as well as interactive gaming with 3D games and Java is supported for you to download more. As you would expect the VS3 is a GPRS tri-band phone that can support up to five hours of talk time or a standby time of up to 240 hours.
