Amazon loaded their custom built Android OS into the Fire
which will allow you to access the Amazon app marketplace Appstore but not Google's Android Market. Best of all, you get to put all that Kindle books, magazine into Amazon Cloud Storage which was launch earlier this year. As Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos describes, "delete it and get it back when you want."
Multimedia junkies who use Amazon to watch movies on their TVs will now be able to use WhisperSync to wirelessly sync their content, allowing Fire users to stop a movie on their TV and pick up where they left off on the Fire.
Further use of the cloud can be seen on the new Amazon Silk browser, which is built to make rendering web content on the go faster than ever. The built-in web browser can prioritise specific things within a webpage to improve speeds.
And all that is price at a low, low $199 (estimated RM632), much cheaper than the $499 base model iPad 2. You won't get a camera or 3G connectivity however. Pre-orders have started in the Americas only and will ship November 15th. No word about a global launch yet.
